State-Level Convention - 'Pavitraatama Abhishelotsva 2017'

Event Details:

- Convention Name: Pavitraatama Abhishelotsva 2017

- Occasion: Golden Jubilee of Charismatic Renewal in the Catholic Church

Inaugural Ceremony:

- The Most Rev Dr. Aloysius Paul D’Souza inaugurated the convention by lighting the lamp.

- A special flag, featuring the logo of the Jubilee, was hoisted.

- Seven doves, symbolizing the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit, were released, accompanied by applause.

- The Bishop presided over the inaugural Holy Mass.

Homily Highlights:

- Bishop Aloysius Paul D’Souza expressed gratitude to God for the manifold gifts received by the Mother Church through the Renewal.

- Acknowledged the countless blessings, including spiritual enrichment, physical and spiritual healings, life transformations, reconciliations, and liberation from detrimental habits.

Main Speaker:

- Bishop Lawrence Mukkuzhi, the Episcopal Advisor of Karnataka Regional Charismatic Service Team, delivered the keynote address on the theme 'Walking with Jesus - Call to Holiness.'

Adoration to the Blessed Sacrament:

- Conducted by Rev. Fr. Franklin D’Souza (Shimoga Diocese) and Rev. Fr. Jose Vettiancal.

Distinguished Guests:

- Msgr Denis Moras Prabhu, the Vicar General.

- Mr. M.P. Noronha, Diocesan Pastoral Parishad Secretary.
